Long before police charged a former Black Diamond school employee Tuesday, students heard rumours that a woman had sent sexy text messages and sold.

Are most teens prepared for adulthood after high-school and ready to work in this country?
Q. I just graduated high-school right now as a December graduate, and I was wondering if most teens these days are really ready for adulthood. I am myself nervous as to what the future will hold. Is the country really getting teens out of high-school that are mentally prepared or not.

A. I do not think so. As an employer of clerical and IT help, I often find the HS grads do not have a work ethics. One young lady came to the interview dressed like a tart thinking she would be interviewed by a male. She touted that she could answer phones, file, and keep supplies on hand. When asked to write a brief letter and find the full zip code --- she just could not do it. One college male came for an interview for a LINUX job only to ask us why we did not use Windows? Go figure. I have found some very good employees but they are few and far between. Just the opinion of a small business owner.
