Though the weather near me has been flirting with fall, I have faith that we've got at least one more good . summer. weekend left.

Who has a good recipe for summer side dishes?
Q. Now that summer is here, we will be cooking out on the BBQ almost everday. We have everything from hamburgers & hot dogs to steak & ribs nearly every night during summer. We mostly serve-up a few dished such as.. cole slaw, macaroni salad, potatoe salad along with fruit salad & pasta salad. Baked beans & baked potatoes as well as corn on the cob are had at least once a week too. But I want to give a bit more of a varity this summer...any ideas?

A. A few of our summer favourites Blue Cheese and White Bean Salad 1-19oz can white kidney beans 1/4-cup extra virgin olive oil 2-tbsp wine vinegar 1-tsp Dijon mustard 1-garlic clove, minced 1-tsp dried parsley 3-tbsp chopped walnuts 4-oz blue cheese, lightly crumbled Salt and fresh black pepper Rinse kidney beans with cold water in a strainer Microwave the beans until just warm, approx 1-minute on med-high heat Stir and set aside Mix the oil, vinegar, mustard, and garlic in a small bowl Add salt and pepper Pour the dressing mixture over the beans Add parsley and walnuts Gently mix the blue cheese into the salad Serve at room temperature Chickpea Salad 2-14oz cans chickpeas, drained and rinsed -cup very thinly sliced heart of celery, [cont.]
