If it's from a car not older than 30 years, it runs from 12 volts DC. And I said this last time you posted this question. Current, you will need to determine, either from the manufacturers web pages, or by connecting 12 volts DC through an ammeter. . Answered by billrussell42 - Mon Dec 29 19:24:57 2008 How can I test a washing machine motor? Q. My Indesit WG1230 stopped spinning/agitating the other day, it fills and drains ok, the program thing turns ok by itself, i've checked the belt and it is attached ok, and doest appear to be slack. I had used it quite heavily prior to it conking out. The thing I believe to be wrong is the motor and or brushes. I've noticed that if I turn the drum by hand it spins quite freely and doesnt make any noise, whereas when it was working fine, it would have a resistance to turning and would also make a whirring sound. Any ideas how I can test the motor or any place I can take it for testing? also, the motor has a bunch of wires coming from it, not an easy to figure out 2 or 3. thanks for reading. Q. When I put my key in my ignition and turn it to position 2, a strange clicking noise comes from roughly where my passenger airbag would be;(my car is not fitted with one!) and a motor seems to start running. When I look in the engine bay, the noise seems to originate from behind the removable plastic vent just below my windscreen. I have taken this off but cannot find the problem. Car drives fine, but it's bugging me! Thanks, guys! Asked by kellypaul89 - Thu Nov 15 14:46:53 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Probably the heater or ac fan.
