Can you find the k constant of a spring without using gravity?
Q. I'm doing a physics experiment to find earth's constant gravity by using springs but don't know how to find the k constant without using gravity. Thanks for any help!

A. I can see where you might have a problem thinking of something. The only way I can think of to do this, would be to apply a known amount of pressure to the spring. Something like a hydraulic press where you would know the amount of pressure being applied. In that fashion, you could rate the spring, without the need of gravity.
