A. There are many routes you could follow, but if you are very serious and have the genuine article, i.e. talent, I would very strongly suggest that you do one of two things: Hook up with a reputable and successful agent or show your work strictly through a reputable gallery representative. If you are not ready for this approach, there are other ways to get started. Remember, you need a body of work to show. Two or three paintings may be all right if you are given a spot in a show or gallery, but it is a good idea to build up a group showing. of a number of paintings. You can enlist your work in one of the more prominent juried shows or hit the festival circuit. I have found often these festivals are a mix of crafts and some acceptable… [cont.]
