What is a good camera for recording concerts?
Q. I want a regular digital camera that I can use in daily life. I have one now that records videos and sound, but the sound is incredibly screechy when the symbols are played. I want a camera that doesn't rob my bank account and has a good picture with great sound. Also, I want the camera to be able to take good shots without flash. Thanks!

What would be a good country song to sing and play guitar to for a talent show?
Q. I am a guy highschool age. I am looking for a song that people would be able to enjoy in my area since country isn't too popular, but that is what I sing. I want it to be pleasing, something that could bridge the gap between country and ordinary people who don't listen to it.

What is the frequency of a C played on the 1st fret of a five string bass guitar?
Q. I am trying to find the frequency of a hum in our house. I just happen to have a five-string bass guitar and have found the note. It is closest to a C.
Asked by starry night - Fri Jun 12 15:32:47 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. The electrical hum is approximately 60 Hz - C is 64. Fluorescent lights make most musicians crazy - the note generated is neither B nor C.

What's the different between a Parcel Post and a Flat Rate Box for US Postal Service?
Q. I've noticed that Parcel Post is less expensive than the Medium Flat Rate Box for US Postal Service. Besides the fact that the flat rate box (priority mail) will ship faster, is there any difference? Does US Postal Service allow me to mail a pair of shoes in its original shoebox without having to put it into another box? Thanks!

does a detachable neck on a soprano saxophone really make the intonation more difficult to control?
Q. I'm not a sax player, but I want to learn, so I'm trying to find something suitable for me. I've played the clarinet in the past, but that was some time ago, but I'm interested in soprano saxophone. Is a curved neck easier to play than the straight variety? And should I look for a single piece or one that has detachable necks to accommodate curved or straight necks?

A. How odd! I'm a sax player, and I was under the impression that all saxophone necks were detachable, soprano or otherwise. The soprano sax image on Wikipedia, however, at appears to be a single-piece saxophone. If there are one-piece sopranos without detachable necks, I'd be very interested to know! With regard to the straight/curved debate, it is a common one and fairly subjective. I think it's more about the sound than the intonation. I haven't heard of an intonation debate - I think all sopranos have difficult intonation! I'd recommend that you try both types and see what you like the sound of. This means getting a sax with detachable necks - one curved and one straight :) Personally, I don't think there's much in it, but I'm… [cont.]

How hard for an aussie to get a british working visa in South America?
Q. I'm an aussie in South America. I'm thinking of going to england to work (getting a youth working visa). How hard is this to do from SA? Is it the same as from Australia where i can just fill out the form and send my passsport to the British embassy? Or does the fact that Britain has different set-up for Visas for South Americans affect me in some way? Sorry if this is a completely stupid question. Thanks!

A. If your status in South Africa is legal, I mean if you have a residency permit for SA, you can then apply for UK Visa. Otherwise you have to return back to Australia and Apply for UK Visa from there.

How do you make a Bajoran earring and nose?
Q. I'm going to a Star Trek con soon and I want to dress as a bajoran. I'm looking for a cheaper way, rather than buy an earring. I'd rather not pierce the upper part of my ear. I tried making the nose with nose wax, but it didn't work out so well. Also, if anyone knows where I can get a pattern for a Bajoran costume please tell. Thanks!

Is it hard to train a puppy pad trained chihuahua to go outside?
Q. I'm interested in getting a chihuahua puppy. But the people that I might be buying it from have trained him on pads. I want to train him to go outside rather than use the pads. Is this difficult to do?
Asked by Rachel - Thu Jun 4 19:10:43 2009 - - 12 Answers - 0 Comments
A. It may be more difficult. You want the puppy to know to go outside and want it to tell you when it has to. Start taking him outside every few hours and eventually he will know he has to go outside rather than in the house, it is kinda of like starting over from when they dont know to go outside, but it may be more difficult to prevent him from going in the house.

How much should food should a 5 month old english bulldog puppy get?
Q. I know it varies for food brand, so if you know from experience, you can tell me what food brand to get. Right now we have him on Beneful Puppy. We just got him.
